Nat'l football coach Jovanovski's arrival delayed

The national football team will have to wait a couple of days more to get the services of their newly appointed head coach Gjorgji Jovanovski, reports UNB.

The new coach was earlier scheduled to arrive in the city today (Monday) to take charge of the national team ahead of the FIFA World Cup pre-qualifiers home match against Pakistan on June 29.

A press release issued by Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Sundaye vening said new head coach Gjorgji Jovanovski will not be able to arrive on the scheduled date, due to some unavoidable circumstances. His new date of arrival will be announced as soon as possible.

Earlier, BFF announced a 27-member preliminary squad ahead of the FIFA World Cup pre-qualifiers with its Croatian head coach Robert Rubcic in charge of the squad. But Rubcic suddenly left the country on June 2 without prior notice.

However, Rubcic sent his resignation letter to BFF last week opting not to continue as head coach of Bangladesh football team.
